Psychotherapy
I work as a psychotherapist with both adults and adolescents. My private practice is based in Lewes.
I qualified as a psychotherapist in 1990 after training at the Institute of Psychotherapy and Social Studies in London. I was registered with UKCP as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist from 1993 - 2009. I am a member of the College of Psychoanalysts, UK. I have an MA in Clinical Psychoanalysis from the Guild of Psychotherapists and the University of Hertfordshire.
My initial training is in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and this remains a strong influence. I am also influenced by attachment theory - I am trained in the administration and coding of the Adult Attachment Interview.
Over the past two years I have trained in EMDR to level 2. EMDR has a strong research base in working with trauma.
My interests are in trauma, dissociative states, sexual abuse, addictions, PTSD and boarding schools.
